it is a safe an effective regime for the development of the trunk muscles - vital for a healthy spine and a crucial component of any functional fitness programme. To help strengthen & lengthen the whole body and improve flexibility promoting a good posture.The aim is to plan exercises to redress the balance in muscle tone by using stretching techniques and strengthening exercises to increase the tone of lax muscles and mobility exercises to improve the range of movement around the spinal vertebrae. I have studied the technique for 18 Months to achieve diploma status & level 3. Previous to attaining this qualification I studied & taught the modified repertoire for 2 years at Level 1 ( OCR qualification). I completed my training with the Pilates Institute in London in conjunction with the physiotherapy team at Guys & St Thomas Hospital. My qualification included back care and clinical posture analysis, seniors, pre-post natal, personal programming for personal training & intermediate & advanced group matwork. I also hold a first aid certificate , exercise to music & Gym Instructor award. I am also a qualified sports & remedial therapist , ITEC and IHHIT.
One to One, Class descriptions & information
One to One personal training is £25 and lasts for one hour, it is ideal to have a session before attending a group session. A series of sessions is an ideal step for rehabilitation of back and joint issues.
